When I walk into a business where I’ve never been before, one of my first instincts is to take a picture of the person behind the counter.
So I walked into Bedlam on Algoma and saw this beardly fella, whom I had never met. First step, strike up a conversation. Second step, ask if I can take his picture.
Hello Ian!
Ian was born in Huntsville but moved to Thunder Bay as an infant. He grew up here and attended Hammarskjold High School and then Con College.
Ian graduated from the personal support worker program and now works full time at Roseview Manor.
He works at Bedlam on a part time basis, but it’s clear that he’s friendly and knowledgeable and professional. Ian’s fiancée owns Bedlam on Algoma as well as Trixxx on May. I’ve never been to Trixxx, but I can say that Bedlam has been open for about a year now and is absolutely welcoming. It’s big and clean with a huge selection of pipes and lighters and papers and other accessories.
Also….regular readers might remember Sabria! Number 191!
Sabria is now working at Bedlam as a nail technician (as Nailed by JustBrii). She has a nice area in a back room all set up for acrylic and gel manicures. She’s very good! She divides her time between Bedlam and Drift. I’d encourage you to check out her page.
And I’d encourage you to stop by Bedlam because you might see Ian, or his fiancée (I’ll catch her one day), or any number of other knowledgeable staff.
In his spare time, Ian loves spending time with his fiancée, his chihuahua/Jack Russel rescue pup (Oliver!) and his two children. They love to get outside in nature and enjoy everything nature has to offer. Ian also enjoys learning about and practicing photography.
What an interesting guy! It was lovely to meet you Ian, I look forward to seeing you again!
